I really like this because Alice is the main actor. I have a lot of issues with Carroll and his obsession with little girls, but Alice in Wonderland was really about Alice and her adventures. Most modern takes on Alice have been about the viewer getting to see Alice show off. This one isn't sexy Alice, horror Alice, or even loligoth Alice striking a pose for meant to excite and entice the viewer. It's just Alice, looking contemplative.
