:wtf: Yeah... They are predicting another storm on Tuesday, election day as if Sandy wasn't enough already...  Am so not looking forward to snow shoveling.

On the repair front, ConEd has said we should be fixing your neighborhood by the 10th of November... Did anybody get the irony of the above statement with what I just typed??? Just image a tech trying to repair the line without a: getting blown away; b: getting electrocuted and c: being in a blizzard... Oh yeah Mother Nature isn't fooling around this November. And pls don't tell me this has to do next month's coming "Dooms Day" date... That ain't funny!

Tuesday coming is Election Day and that's when the "STORM" is supposed to hit... It's kind of like Universe's way of saying "Do Vote! I double dog dare ya! It won't matter cuz the lesser of the 2 evils will win out."

The yard man came (Clyde) yesterday and said he would do the fallen limbs on Monday. But I've got fork over 350 dollars after giving up 120 up front...:disbelief:  Oh well, that's the nature of the beast. Got to strike while the iron is hot, eh???
But I don't mind. I trust him not to :finger: me

I'm glad you're hanging in there, and I'm sorry things continue to be so very difficult. I had heard about the second storm, but I thought it was going to be rain. My parents (they live in NJ) actually have a hole in their roof, but my mom says it's mostly filled with tree. They've also got tarps and all sorts of stuff to minimize damage. Still. This is all a bit much.

The worrisome thing is that I think extreme storms are the new norm in terms of weather. I hope you're able to get a generator or other emergency provisions when things get a little more normal.
